tastytrade (http://tastytrade.com), the fastest growing online financial network, today announced the acquisition of ki edit + design, a national video production and design studio, and Quiet Foundation, a Chicago web design and technology firm. With these acquisitions tastytrade will control all network production and technology infrastructure in-house, and compete directly with much larger media firms by delivering original financial content faster, to a wider audience.

Said Tom Sosnoff, tastytrade Network founder and CEO, and co-host of “Get Tasted,” a live show broadcasting for four hours every weekday: “Linwood Ma of Quiet Foundation was the CTO of thinkorswim, Inc., and is a magician when it comes to developing real-time, high-bandwidth technology and an exceptional user experience. ki, with founders Paul Kopchak, Anthony Izzo, and Pete Hendricks did all the best production and video work for us at thinkorswim, in addition to their work for Fortune 500 brands. Because of our shared history, integrating the Quiet Foundation and ki edit + design workflow is expected to be smooth and rapid. The leadership teams at both these companies are creative, driven and innovative. Typically, only the largest media companies could integrate to this extent. We now have the resources to create more original content to fill our aggressive production schedule.”

Said Kristi Ross, President of tastytrade Network: “tastytrade’s mission is to challenge traditional finance media like CNBC and Bloomberg, and to broaden the demographic for financial news and services. These acquisitions perfectly support that mission and accelerate our strategy to deliver an increasing variety of original content through the tastytrade Network and other distribution channels.”
